'A Parliament of Owls' Screenprint

I was down the University of Hertfordshire again last night doing some screenprinting so these are the results of that visit along with an attraction to collective nouns and an owl illustration I'm quite pleased with.

I had a spot of bother with them last night as I wasn't really concentrating on the first 'flood' I performed on the screen and didn't press hard enough. This then gives you a rubbish print and pretty much ruins the rest of the run. It also meant I had to wash the screen out and start again but I guess it's good to make these mistakes in the long run. I may have said it before but it is amazing how small a time you spend actually printing when screenprinting but it's well worth the effort and the satisfaction when you're finished.

They're hand pulled on 300gsm Somerset Cream paper and can be yours for a mere £15(inc postage) so email me at chris@oneafternine if you're interested. I'm on PayPal so it's well easy to transfer the funds.

Hope you like them!

  1. Schmidt, if you are really into collective nouns (are you?!) did you know the official term for a collection of ladybirds is a 'loveliness' (check spelling though!) for the series maybe!
