Letterpress in Wrexham - Latest Additions

I was back up in Wrexham at the weekend to visit Rob the retired printer. The plan was to pick up some spacers and furniture for the wood type I collected a number of weeks back andmaybe pick up a tray or two of the GIll Sans metal type that I spied on my last visit.

All I can say was it was lucky we were in my Dad's (larger than my own) car as I ended up with five trays of extremely heavy metal type, a bin bag full of furniture and a small case of furniture/wood type spacers! I now have the upper and lower cases of Gill Sans light and bold along with the upper and lower case of a typeface I think Rob called 'Cheltenham'? If anyone has a clearer idea of the name I'd love to know.

I'm really pleased with them, though slightly worried as to where I will store them and more importantly how I will use them, as they are extremely heavy. The plan is to clean them up a little along with the wood type and start to get my hands inky!

I'll keep you all updated with my progress
