Christmas (Post)Cards 2011 - For Sale

I've managed to find the time to create a few Christmas postcards which, if you fancied buying, are now on sale in my shop! They come in packs of 5 and can feature one of each design or 5 of the same. They are postcards (cards that stand up are so last century!) so you can write on the back, pop them in their own envelope and send them off to your loved ones.

Once received, said loved one can stick it on the fridge, pin it to a cork board, blu-tack it on a wall, or (my favourite) lean it carefully against something.

The cards are digitally printed on 260gsm linen A6 ivory card. A pack of 5 are priced at £5.00 inc postage and packaging so head over to my shop and get them in your basket!

"Stamped" promo video

Just a quick one as I was sent this video by a mate who goes by the name of Andrew Coldicott. The app looks pretty useful but I absolutely loved this video. Watch it!

Aitor Throup - Kasabian Artwork

Thought I'd do a little post about some artwork I found in the latest Kasabian album. It's by a guy called Aitor Throup, a fashion designer who also produces some amazing sketches to accompany his work

I didn't know anything about this until I bought the kasabian album 'Velociraptor' on CD, yes CD! and leisurely flicked through the sleeve notes. (In your face iTunes) I'm a massive fan of skilled intricate sketches like these so I ending up flicking through the sleeve notes a number of times before I put it down.

To look at an image where you can see the individual marks made by the pencil or pen is hugely appealing to me.I find the skill involved in work like this truly amazing - the level of detail and physical accuracy is something I could only dream of achieving so that makes the viewing the images so much more enjoyable.

Hopefully you'll like them too, I thought they would be worth a post as a testament to the old-skool process of buying a CD, listening to the album while flicking through the booklet, and finding some artwork in there that you love.

Wedding Stationary

oneafternine - wedding stationary

So, as far as blog posts go I've been a little 'off the radar' recently. This is due to the wedding I took part in towards the end of October... I was the groom.

As you can imagine the last few weeks have consisted of getting through lots of to-do lists and in my case, lots of designing, printing, cutting and sticking. All the hardwork was thankfully worth it as we both experienced the day we were hoping for.

Now things have pretty much returned to normal (we're both back at work, the cakes have been consumed, the flowers thrown out etc) I thought I'd put a little post up showing the elements that have consumed me over the last few weeks.

As some of you may know I produced the invites a few months ago with the theme of 'couples' so I continued this theme throughout the other stationary. We decided on producing guest cards instead of a book that gets handed round when everyone is too pissed to write in it. Instead we asked guests to choose a postcard, write/draw/scribble/scratch on it a peg it onto a line. This idea went down really well and gives us a fantastic memento of the day.

I also got myself a stamp made which featured my bride and groom icon illustration. I then used this to stamp the guest cards, name cards (which were spare invites that I'd chopped up), and the table plan.

I then decided to make a print for each of my groomsmen as a thankyou for all their hardwork and once I'd done that all that was left to do was the thankyou cards!

This post features some amazing images from our photographer on the day Bethan Jones of Haywood Jones Photography. Bethan, along with her sister Syriol, were fantastic throughout the whole process and I couldn't recommend them highly enough. All of the good images are hers, there are a few of my own thrown in as well so please excuse these scruffy little buggers.
