Thought I'd do a little post about some artwork I found in the latest Kasabian album. It's by a guy called Aitor Throup, a fashion designer who also produces some amazing sketches to accompany his work
I didn't know anything about this until I bought the kasabian album 'Velociraptor' on CD, yes CD! and leisurely flicked through the sleeve notes. (In your face iTunes) I'm a massive fan of skilled intricate sketches like these so I ending up flicking through the sleeve notes a number of times before I put it down.
To look at an image where you can see the individual marks made by the pencil or pen is hugely appealing to me.I find the skill involved in work like this truly amazing - the level of detail and physical accuracy is something I could only dream of achieving so that makes the viewing the images so much more enjoyable.
Hopefully you'll like them too, I thought they would be worth a post as a testament to the old-skool process of buying a CD, listening to the album while flicking through the booklet, and finding some artwork in there that you love.
