So, as far as blog posts go I've been a little 'off the radar' recently. This is due to the wedding I took part in towards the end of October... I was the groom.
As you can imagine the last few weeks have consisted of getting through lots of to-do lists and in my case, lots of designing, printing, cutting and sticking. All the hardwork was thankfully worth it as we both experienced the day we were hoping for.
Now things have pretty much returned to normal (we're both back at work, the cakes have been consumed, the flowers thrown out etc) I thought I'd put a little post up showing the elements that have consumed me over the last few weeks.
As some of you may know I produced the invites a few months ago with the theme of 'couples' so I continued this theme throughout the other stationary. We decided on producing guest cards instead of a book that gets handed round when everyone is too pissed to write in it. Instead we asked guests to choose a postcard, write/draw/scribble/scratch on it a peg it onto a line. This idea went down really well and gives us a fantastic memento of the day.
I also got myself a stamp made which featured my bride and groom icon illustration. I then used this to stamp the guest cards, name cards (which were spare invites that I'd chopped up), and the table plan.
I then decided to make a print for each of my groomsmen as a thankyou for all their hardwork and once I'd done that all that was left to do was the thankyou cards!
This post features some amazing images from our photographer on the day Bethan Jones of Haywood Jones Photography. Bethan, along with her sister Syriol, were fantastic throughout the whole process and I couldn't recommend them highly enough. All of the good images are hers, there are a few of my own thrown in as well so please excuse these scruffy little buggers.
