The Making of the Leica M9-P

My good friend Man With A Spade blogged about this a while ago but I only discovered it recently. Even though he significantly beat me to the punch I wanted to save this video for prosperity on my own blog.

The video shows the making of the the Leica M9-P. A limited edition which is a celebration of the friendship and collaboration between Jean-Louis Dumas, the former president of Hermès, who died in May 2010, and Leica Camera AG.

The craft and care to detail shown in this video is what really appeals. The fact that it's a brilliantly put together video is another bonus. The focus on the detail through the framing, editing and the bold use of the natural soundtrack make for an absorbing 3.5 minutes.
